PROBLEM: Deteriorated platforms needed to be rebuilt with minimal downtime.

SOLUTION: MG-KRETE was used to rebuild the platform surfaces behind the edge safety tiles. Zero-shrink and a very hard surface the platforms could be opened to traffic an hour after the MG-KRETE placement.

PROBLEM: Chlorides and moisture were causing delamination and cracking in the parking garage column bases.

SOLUTION: MG-KRETE was used to rebuild the columns providing long-term structural repairs as well as chloride and moisture resistance.

PROBLEM: Freeze-thaw action coupled with chloride penetration was causing premature spalling of the city’s sidewalks.

SOLUTION: MG-KRETE was applied as a scratch coat to resurface the sidewalks. Applied very thin, no trip hazard was created and no concrete had to be removed.

PROBLEM: Salt water combined with harsh winters was causing the concrete surface of this pier to spall. Conventional overlay materials that were used to fix the surface debonded creating a worse problem than was present originally.

SOLUTION: Mg-Krete, with salt, water and freeze-thaw resistance, was used to overlay the entire pier bonding exceptionally well to solve their overlay and spalling problem. The cool set characteristics of the Mg-Krete allowed work to progress despite large fluctuations in temperature while the job was being perfomed.
