Tonnolli Canada, Mississauga, Ontario

PROBLEM: The acids combined with very heavy abrasion in this crushing and acid collection room of this automobile battery recycling plant were causing extreme deterioration of the epoxy coated concrete floor and walls.

SOLUTION: IMKOTE was applied to the concrete surfaces after the epoxy was removed to provide a long-term surface that is resistant to the acids as well as able to withstand the constant heavy abrasion that the floor is subject to.

Stelco Hilton Works, Hamilton, Ontario

PROBLEM: Hot hydrochloric acid in these pickling lines was corroding the steel tanks despite a vulcanized rubber lining and three layers of acid brick.

SOLUTION: IMKOTE 727 Liner was applied directly over the acid brick providing a monolithic acid resistant surface. By removing the need to remove and replace the acid brick the job was completed in a fifth of the time from conventional techniques.

Cytech Corporation, St. Catharines, Ontario

PROBLEM: Sulfuric acid corrosion had deteriorated the floor and machine bases in this acid production plant.

SOLUTION: IMKOTE was used to rebuild machine bases as well as overcoat the entire floor area to provide long-term protection in this harsh industrial environment.

Orenda Aerospace, Brampton, Ontario

PROBLEM: A heavy duty chemical resistant coating was required to protect the concrete and infrastructure as part of this secondary containment area.

SOLUTION: Imkote 735 Finish Coat was applied to the floor area as well as 8 inches up all bases within the containment area for long-term protection and aesthetic finish.

North Wentworth Hockey Arena, Flamborough, Ontario

PROBLEM: Excessive humidity from the ice surface was migrating through block walls and causing painted surfaces to blister and peel at these two arenas.

SOLUTION: EBM was applied to interior and exterior block walls eliminating bulk water migration while allowing the building to breathe. The EBM also provided an aesthetic finish that resists blistering and peeling.

Quaker State Building, Ontario

PROBLEM: Normal weathering was causing the steel deck roof to corrode and leak..

SOLUTION: Rust spots were coated with 510A Aluminized Urethane to stop the corrosion. The entire surface was then coated with EBM to form a seamless elastomeric membrane that beautified, protected and waterproofed the structure.

The "perfect patch" for concrete repair and overlay. MG-KRETE lasts much longer and withstands wear and heavy traffic better than traditional cement-based patch materials. It tenaciously bonds to the concrete, without shrinkage, creating a surface that is more impervious to moisture, salt, gas and oils. It requires less long-term maintenance. MG-Krete sets within one hour, even at sub-zero temperatures, helping to dramatically cut production downtime. more...

Densifies, hardens and seals concrete permanently from within, becoming an integral part of the matrix, not just a surface coating. Untreated concrete is porous and susceptible to intrusion by salts, gases and oil. Treatment with D-Tech provides a permanent solution with unparalleled resistance to contamination and abrasion, never wearing off. more...

Meets the most demanding needs for extreme chemical and abrasion resistance, and sets and cures without shrinkage, in about an hour. Imkote offers a family of products with profound cross-linking chemistry, creating, a dense, impermeable surface, highly resistant to corrosive chemicals and extreme physical abuse. .more...
